Asel C. Eoff founded Eoff Electric Company in 1919. Eighty years later, the company has developed from a small retail establishment located in Salem, Oregon to a multi-million dollar wholesale distributor, spanning from southwestern Washington to the California border. From two employees in 1919 to nearly 200 in 1999 the company has enjoyed growth and prosperity under the management of two generations of Eoff's.
For over forty years Joe Eoff was an integral part of Eoff Electric Company. Joe began with Eoff as a teenager, working for spending money. After graduating from Oregon State University with a degree in electrical engineering, Joe joined the company as a full time employee. Working in the business in various positions, Joe assumed ownership and became president in the 1980's. Since that time, Joe's acute business sense and strong leadership grew Eoff to eight locations in 1999.
During his management, one thing that always underlined his style was his respect for the employees. In 1999, he reasserted that philosophy by selling the company to all of the employees, a gesture highly unusual in this day of mega-mergers and buyouts. As the employees embark on this new era, Joe's positive influence and contributions will always be remembered as key elements in our future successes.
In 1999 the company began a new era when Eoff became employee owned. 1999 will long be remembered as the "year of change" for Eoff Electric Company. Our motto; "TO NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS THAN THE BEST" is as true today as it was in 1919. Today we continue to supply quality electrical products to our valued customers and provide service that exceed their expectations.
